The Lamarca project involved a room addition that cut into a hill behind the house and left little to no usable yard.

I opted to use timbers to step usable space into the yard, as well as aesthetics such as the stairwell and stone walkway.

The walkway also hides a drainage system to relieve the trapped water we found in the spring, and anticipated with the leveling of the area.
