Rain gardens are designed to control water on a "per yard" basis, and keep consumer rainwater out of the street drains.

This "trapped" yard was too small to install a conventional garden system, so we used a combination of pondless garden and rain garden plantings and berms to control up to 400 gallons of free liquid, with an overflow capability in excessive times.

All water from the roof and yard flow into this area, and yet it appears to be a "fake pond" with plants.
